The city hires me year-round to do a lot of stuff.

There is no question that he is one of the most dynamic performers we've had. We will give him as much time as we can and really let him stretch out. At this point it is Buddy Guy and B.B. King who are the greatest blues men alive.

This one in Huntington just came up because we couldn't do it here (Charleston). Marshall really didn't officially invite us like the other two universities. David Hardesty and WVU have made it clear that they want us to come there several times a year if we can. We like to travel and we like to go around West Virginia. We love to come to Huntington, and that auditorium is a great space.

We were very encouraged by this.

I'm not trying to inflate this. I'm trying to be fairly realistic.

There may have been a lot more people downtown. All the vendors in the art fair were extremely pleased.

Believe me, Buddy Guy is not a museum piece. He is as viable as he ever was and he is still changing and growing and still evolving which is pretty amazing for a man of his experience.

We noticed that she had routing through the area, and we were just going to build a show with her, but with Buddy it is unbelievable. If you like the blues it is tough to beat... She has a lot of energy and she's got this thing that's real intense but it is also kind of happy. She may be singing about being wronged, but she is winning the battle, she is overcoming.
