I'm never satisfied with losing, but I thought at times they showed signs of what they're capable of doing. If we do that on a consistent basis, we could be very good.

He's worked hard. He had to do off-season work and in-season work. Where he's come from, he's come a long, long way.

He was outstanding. He was able to get position and was able to receive the ball right at the basket where he wanted to. You gotta give Malden a lot of credit. We'll get back, I promise you that.

The guys whose names are on that banner have been a big part of Cambridge history. He'll forever be remembered with that banner hanging there.

They're having fun now. The tough part is behind them. The tough part is learning how to play Cambridge basketball. They have a better understanding now. I'm not saying we're anywhere near the level of some of the teams in the past, but they have a better understanding.

He did an excellent job of defending. He did an excellent job of rebounding. He provides us with so much energy. For 32 minutes he gives you everything he has. His effort and energy is consistent every game.

This team's going backwards. It's poor coaching, that's what it is. I'm taking the blame. I haven't done a good job with this basketball team. I haven't gotten the kids prepared to play.

The second half was better than first half. We were down by as many as 20 points. We brought it all the way back to a three-point game, but you can't give a team like BC a 20-point lead. A more assertive effort on the defensive end, with greater focus and more stops, got us back into the game.

To clinch the league title outright is very good for this team. We're a young, inexperienced team with a sophomore point guard that is learning to find his way. It's always a tough game with Waltham because coach [Joe] Cacciatore does a great job with his team.
