I personally believe that the police routinely violate an individual's rights and as defense attorneys we're always fighting an uphill battle. In my opinion, it is extremely admirable for a judge to have the courage to suppress evidence in a serious case like this.

The big thing for us was this was the last championship meet before the state tournament. We wanted to swim well and get some best times to keep us on that high going into the state tournament.

This has just been a magical season. From the first meet to now, finishing undefeated, winning all of our championship meets. I don't think I could have asked any more out of these kids after today.

If somebody was going to come through and beat us, we came through with second, third and fourth and outscored the other team. That's always the key. If there's somebody that is better, those other points matter just as much.

After this, we're riding such a high right now we're taking this into the state finals.

Going one, two, three in the 50 with two freshmen and a sophomore makes things look really good for a couple years now.

When I look at these seniors that have been with us for four years, they've won four conference, four counties, four prep, four state championships and finished undefeated. You can't go out any better than that.

They told us there were some people sleeping, so we immediately went back inside.

In recent years people have said some bad things about this conference, with (Duluth) East leaving for competition reasons. But I think it showed this year that it's getting tougher.
