I liked it. It was unusual, but I thought it was good for the fans. Maybe it's something one time during the season we can continue doing, and hopefully this will work out.

We just want to keep moving forward as we keep pursuing our goals for the season.

This is a team that's finding its identity, ... We almost had a repeat of West Forsyth (an overtime loss Sept. 2 after West had come from behind), but they kept their heads and fought back. You got to commend that.

We wanted to keep them off balance and get the momentum early, ... We had plenty of chances to score in the first half, but we made a lot of mistakes, and you can't do that against good football teams.

I was disappointed in our second string guys, because their shouldn't be that kind of drop-off when they come into the game.

What our players learned from that loss is that you can't take anything for granted, especially in the playoffs, ... If you take off for one play, it could be that same play that sends you home.

When it's wet like it was tonight, that makes it hard on option teams because it's difficult to make that pitch, ... Plus, we felt like we could cause problems for them because our defense is good at penetrating past the line of scrimmage. All we wanted to do was keep the momentum going in our favor once we got the lead.

We did some things well, but t we've got a lot of work to do.

I told my running backs that they were going to have to turn themselves into mud runners, and that's what they did.
