It was devastating. It was like living in a war zone, with helicopters flying overhead, National Guard troops in the streets, no food, no water.

It is called the Question, Persuade, Refer (Q.P.R.) program. It teaches people how to deal with suicide when encountering a situation, how to respond to people who are suicidal and how to refer them to help.

I'll be OK, though. I have been through worse.

National Guard soldiers were picking dead bodies out of houses. There is only so much of that you can see, you know? It was so depressing, I just wanted to get out of there.

We haven't heard anything about that.
