It wasn't a perfect lap, but it was pretty close.

I probably had the best time of anybody to go out. It was our best qualifying in a while, and when the sun came back out, I was pretty excited. I didn't think there was anybody that was going to catch Greg.

I doubt he'll sacrifice his Cup car tomorrow, ... He's got a lot riding on that, racing for points, and I doubt he wants to do that. If he wants to nudge, we can nudge, too.

Seventeen of us are going to sit down and talk about different stuff and hopefully get to hang out with the President for five seconds or something.

It was a good lap, we ran about the same as we did in practice. We practiced a lot of race setups. I think we have a top-five race car.

I'm excited to start first here at Phoenix. It's a great track and I have a lot of experience here. I'm looking forward to racing at night.

I just got into the corner and got on the gas to try and have good speed when I got to the start/finish and the car started going up a little bit and spun around. We just missed it a little bit. It's a shame this is a good car, this was our Indy car. So, we'll get it fixed up and get this other car going. Hopefully, we will get a good spot.

I really don't regret it at all.

I thought my first pole would be somewhere else. There are a lot of good drivers here this weekend -- 10 Winston Cup drivers and all the Busch regular drivers. To sit on the pole and be in front of the field Saturday is a big accomplishment for this team.
