I really like the effort of the women. The times were a little off, but his course did not appear to be a fast one.

The women had an outstanding day in placing second at the McPherson Invitational on a windy day. Six out of seven runners improved their times from last week's meet. Overall, the women ran about a minute faster on the Rolling Acres course compared to a year ago.

At times it's good to take the pressure off of preparing for a race at the end of the week. With a week off from racing, we'll be focusing on the workouts.

It's one thing for me to try to communicate that they can compete at this level. But they must believe it for themselves. That happened through this meet.

Matt, Jeff, Kyle and Kevin are the four returning runners from the 2004 squad and their maturity showed. Experience is so vital to a team's success.

We can't be disappointed (with our finish) when we don't leave anything out there on the course.

Kyle earned his first college medal. This was a good reward for all of his hard work over the last three years.
