To have a naturally started fire in a natural area with plenty of species that are dependent on fire isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I expect it to double by this evening to around 1,000 acres. That?s a guess based on containment lines.

The fire is getting bigger but that does not mean that it is a bad thing, sometimes we expect that to occur, but one of the ways that we fight the fire is by actually lighting smaller fires between the containment line and the larger fire.

It is 100 percent contained.

They live together, train together and then fly or drive to fires all over the country.

It's still winter up here on top of the mountain, so as for as killing off any plants or anything like that it's actually kind of jump starting them and will rejuvenate them a little bit.

We had a pretty good day. It was humid in the morning, which helped, but the winds kicked up quite a bit in the afternoon and we had a pretty active fire.
