That was the best pitching I've seen from him. He had a lot of control, a lot of command. He had a good fastball. He's got a lot of talent. I think he's matured a lot.

I felt good after 10 days on the DL. But I had to wait 15 days. Now I have to wait until the [Sept. 1], hopefully.

Last year, I played there a lot. I feel like I did a good job for the team. The decision that they make, it's not up to me.

I don't want to hear things from the outside.

That's something I feel proud of, that the work that I've done has paid off. It makes me feel like I'm getting better every year.

I don't see it like a race. Like I said last year, I just come to spring training to get ready for the season. It's not up to me to make a decision. They know what I can do.

I have nothing against him. We're grown men. We talk about things ? good things and bad things. And that's good. Since I've been here, he's shown me a lot of respect, and it's the same thing from me to him.

I wouldn't even call it an injury. It's good to be back. I'm ready to go.
