Actually I am a little bit surprised. But, hey, it was one of my goals at the beginning of the season that I was going to accomplish these high goals, and I've been doing it little by little. So even higher goals for next year.
We're doing everything we can to win ballgames. He was being aggressive the entire game, throwing strikes. Sometimes he gets the ball over the zone, and we were able to hit him.
There are three weeks left. We're going to finish strong.
I just keep playing and wait to reach that mark. Once I get it, I'll be really proud of myself and proud of everybody because without them it couldn't be done.
Right now, I feel great. I went to the cage earlier. Felt great.
It's definitely sad seeing Lou go. That's his decision. But with this group of guys, we're really hungry to have a winning record. It's just a matter of us sticking together.
I can see that in a big way. With this core of young players we have here, if we find a little bit of consistency, we're going to have a great team.
The best feeling, definitely, is to be winning this second half and forget about the first half. That's in the past. This will lead to next season. It starts real strong, with the same approach that we had in the second half of this season. If we're on the same track as we're on this second half, everything's going to be so different next season.
Like we've been saying, we're going to play hard. We want to end this season strong and have something to take into next season.
