For a wildlife biologist, it's a career highlight to work with an animal this rare.

We want to know if this is a resident animal or is coming down from Canada. What they've found in British Columbia and Idaho is that they are very sensitive to disturbance at their den sites, so we'd like to know where those are.

It's just amazing. It'll be one of my career highlights to be able to be part of a team that trapped a wolverine.

What we learn about wolverines from this effort will help us determine the species' status and management needs.
