We wanted to try to kill the penalty to get back to even strength. It got over to him, and he was having his way with his defender. He took him to the goal and put it in the net for us. He was so confident in what he was doing that he was tough to handle at that point.

He has a good knack at scoring in tight. Michael has tremendous quickness and is a tough rider.

Hayward Howard plays at only one speed -100 miles an hour. He is very fast and outstanding between the lines. Hayward creates havoc with his tenacity. Brian Burke has improved his strength. He's one of the top stick handlers on the defensive end with a tremendous ability to clear the ball.

It's one of those things where you've got a fifth-year kid who has done everything we've asked of him and has worked extremely hard and has had a couple weeks in a row of tremendous practices. We inserted him in the starting lineup, and he was great. And he deserved it, just because of everything that he's done.
