For most of our members, this is not an issue back home. We're doing this because we want a good bill.
These numbers are the result of the fiscal responsibility of the Republican Congress, and it would be a mistake to throw that responsibility overboard by an aggressive new spending plan.
One, if there are recommendations that need action, we need them sooner than later. Two, he does not want this to be delayed any further and become a political football in the middle of the campaign.

Denny is good at picking up the pieces. He is a very soothing influence. At the end of the day, I think people will be looking to Denny for leadership.
