"Joe Logan" is the head coach of the Loyola University Maryland Loyola Greyhounds women's basketball/women's basketball team, an NCAA Division I program that competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Logan was named head coach at Loyola on May 12, 2005, after spending the previous four seasons (2001–2005) as an assistant women's basketball coach at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.

Logan, a 1996 graduate of Loyola, was also an assistant coach at Loyola from 1997-2001 under Pat Coyle (basketball)/Pat Coyle and Cindy Griffin. Following his graduation, Logan spent a season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Centenary College of New Jersey/Centenary College, an NCAA Division III school in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

During his time as a student at Loyola, Logan was a manager for both the men's and women's basketball teams. He was with each team when they advanced to the NCAA Tournaments (men, 1994; women, 1995) and served under former Loyola coaches Skip Prosser and Coyle.

We missed some defensive assignments, and they took advantage of that. They made some shots and got some open looks. Canisius is very good on the perimeter, and they penetrate and do a good job of passing. Give Canisius credit, we made some mistakes and they made us pay for it.

Siena has a great program and their losing streak did not enter our minds at all coming into this game. We came in trying to take care of business and play hard.

Half-court execution is something we've worked on. We still look to run, but as you get deeper into the MAAC, you have to score in the half-court.

We stayed in a man-to-man and Siena had terrific post play (in the first half). We made some adjustments in the 2nd half and we did a great job to stop their inside game.

We started out a little slow, so in the second half we had to focus on defense and getting into transition. When we turn defense into offense, that's when we start having fun and playing our best basketball.

Any time you win a game on the road, it's huge. We wanted to get back on track with this game and we accomplished that goal.

We put together 40 minutes of hard fought basketball and that was our goal all season.

Can we make it a best-of-three next year? I credit our kids for coming back. We were down by 25 ... and we fought and fought and fought and just kept coming back. We'll try to build on that for next year.

We were down 21 and we kept fighting back. We showed great resilience to cut the lead to six.
