We didn't change speeds much late in the game. We let him go after people. He threw strikes and we hit the ball really well.

He didn't have command of his pitches like in other games, but he battled and pitched well in tough situations. It was a hard-fought pitching victory for Donnie. He battled and came through with key outs when we needed it, despite not having real good command of his pitches.

He's going to be a great leader. I'm confident he'll do a fine job.

We looked. Sometimes, there's no place like home.

We hit the ball real well and had some good quality at-bats. We got off to a nice start and made it easier for (pitcher) Donnie (Potter) and our defense.

We're just having a tough time coming up with a key base hit. We have to figure out a way to score some runs in the important parts of the game. I think we're going to be a good ball team, we just need to get some hits.

He pitched a strong game for us. He did a nice job in the third.

It was 3-1 going into the sixth and we pulled them together and said we're right there with them. Just to keep battling. That's what we did. We pieced it together and in the seventh, they walked some, we put the ball in play and had some key hits.

We've been putting all three phases of the game together.
