This whole thing is real exciting for us. But we've seen the draw, now, and we know we're on the same side (bracket) with Colfax and White Pass. So now we'll do some studying and try to keep this thing going.
There's no days off now.
It's a huge weight off our shoulders to know we're going home with a trophy. Win or lose today, it was not going to detract from our season. But for my team, I know they wanted to trophy.
This team doesn't know how to quit. They won't let anything ? anything ? stand in their way.
We did exactly what I said not to do in the first half: Get in foul trouble. That takes our whole game away.
With so many good teams here, to go home with a trophy is quite an accomplishment.
When they extended their zone, the floor shrunk. It was like playing on an elementary school floor for us.
That's just the heart of this team. They know defense and take pride in their defense.
In this state tournament they came out a little apprehensive in each game. The style we play often gets us in foul trouble (so they pulled back).
