"Jodie Meeks" is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of Kentucky. On January 13, 2009, he gained national recognition by breaking the Kentucky single-game scoring record with 54 points in a nationally-televised game on ESPN against Tennessee Volunteers men's basketball/Tennessee. In the same game, he broke the university's single-game three-point record by making 10 three-pointers.

I am committing to play at the University of Kentucky. It's a beautiful place to play. They have great fans. It's a great atmosphere. I came up for my visit this past weekend, and I was really amazed how the fans really appreciate basketball.
