"James Taft "Jimmer" Fredette" is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Fredette is a native of Glens Falls, New York. He played college basketball at Brigham Young University (BYU) and was the leading scorer in all of NCAA Division I basketball during his senior season. Fredette was also named the List of U.S. men's college basketball national player of the year awards/National Player of the Year and won the John R. Wooden Award/Wooden Award, the Naismith College Player of the Year/Naismith Award, the Adolph Rupp Trophy, and the Oscar Robertson Trophy that same season. He was selected with the tenth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and subsequently traded to the Sacramento Kings.
