We got a nice 14-15 point lead in there which was big at the end, because unfortunately we made some crucial mistakes and (Rapid City Central) got back into it.
Morgan really spearheaded us in the third quarter. She really got us going with those (3-pointers) ... and I was really happy for her getting her 1,000th point.
We were frustrated, but we had good looks. It seemed like the harder we worked, the worst it was ... It wasn't because we weren't working hard, we worked our tails off.
Our press has been good to us most of the year. We used different types of presses ? we used a diamond-and-one and a we switched to a 2-2-1 ? and I thought our kids read it real well. What was really big off the press was that we converted some easy lay-ins. Those were some big points for us.
We're very excited about the state tourney. We are playing well at this time.
I think sometimes in basketball, just like everything else, when things don't go right you want to roll over and die. But we played well today, and we want to come back tomorrow and win fifth place.
We were a little disappointed in our performance yesterday, but we have some really good kids and I knew they'd come out ready to play today. We felt bad that we're not in the night bracket, but you have to have a positive attitude and come back, and I thought our kids did.
