How far we go this year will depend on how we hit. I can't see us being out of a game with our pitching and defense. If we hit we're going to have a tremendous year. If we don't hit, we'll probably end up 14-8, which we've been for four years in a row now. I'll be very disappointed if we don't compete seriously for the league title.

You can throw the records out the window. They always play us tough. They played us tough last year when we were favored.

Good pitching, good defense and timely hitting. That's what wins baseball games. We got everything today. A classic.

He looks really good. He's throwing harder and he has experience and command. He should be one of the better pitchers in our league.

It's usually a tight defensive struggle against them.

We panicked a little bit after that spurt. We took some shots that were uncharacteristic of our team, and they got some easy ones on the other end.

We didn't get back to stop them on defense in transition in the second half. Overall, we just did not do the job we needed to do on the defensive end. Offensively, we got some good shots, but they just didn't drop.
