We would not have had the ability to regulate these flows, we would have been in real trouble. The downstream impacts would have been much more severe than they are at present.

It affects them a lot more than they want to admit it does.

So we're certainly concerned. We're watching the situation closely, but at the present time the system's functioning as it's designed and we're being reasonably successful in managing flows.

We're trying to keep the river right at its capacity, right at flood stage at Monroe.
