"Jessica Ward" is the principal of the Elmhurst School for Dance in Birmingham, United Kingdom, a world-renowned centre of excellence for the training and education of dancers. In 1999, she graduated in Dance Theatre at the Laban Centre, now Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance/Trinity Laban in London, and gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Dance Performance. She entered a successful career in dance education and became a senior leader in secondary schools, receiving the National Professional Qualification for Headship/NPQH qualification from the National College for School Leadership. She was appointed principal of the Elmhurst School for Dance in September 2010.

I did not make up the recipes, I simply used a lot of the recipes I have used for years and years and asked for recipes from other people. It's uncomplicated cooking. These are really the recipes we have known and loved and the reason they're in this cookbook is because they're comforting, and that's what we need when there's been a death.
