I try and make them feel comfortable, then you watch their personality come out.
""Jennifer Jennings"" was the Belgium/Belgian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1969, performed in Dutch Language/Dutch by Louis Neefs.
The song was performed tenth on the night. At the close of voting, it had received 10 points, placing 7th (the third time in a row when Belgium finished 7th) in a field of 16.
The song is an ode to the tititular character who is, as far as can be ascertained, fictional. The Anglophone nature of her name is explained by the fact that Neefs sings that he met her in London.
Neefs also recorded the song in French, English, German, Spanish and Italian language versions, all with the original title; "Jennifer Jennings".
It was succeeded as Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest/Belgian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 1970/1970 Contest by Jean Vallée performing "Viens l'oublier".
