"Jeffrey Alan Samardzija" is an United States/American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball and college football/football for the University of Notre Dame, and was recognized as an All-American wide receiver. He has also played in MLB for the Chicago Cubs from 2008 to 2014 and the Oakland Athletics in 2014.
