We didn't get a lot of shots. We are improving every day, though.

Santi needs that goal. He has the skill. We needed that. The intensity would have jumped back up. I thought we would have had some momentum. If we got that, it would have been a different game in the last few minutes.

He's probably the best player on our team. When he puts the ball in the net, he's an All-State player. But sometimes he struggles to put the ball in the net.

I don't know why we keep coming out flat. We spot teams one goal and then we start to play. We played a little too much kick ball. It's not the way we were playing the other day. For some reason, we keep falling back into this kick ball stuff. Midland High moved the ball the way we needed to.

We want to get ahead of this development and start looking at the connections between issues.

We're not playing for the Valley (title) anymore. It seems like that's going to be wrapped up by Midland. We're playing for districts. We're playing to beat Midland in the districts, and we're playing for the end of the season right now.

It's a pivotal game for us. We've played so many tough games, but our record doesn't indicate how tough we've played.

They snuck the (winning) goal in toward the end. We got the (offensive) pressure (at the end), but we just couldn't score (again). It happens.

I think (Monday) was the turning point. The kids stepped up and played tough. I hope that will carry over to Wednesday night. Our kids are fired up, plus it's a Valley game.
