A movie doesn't open the opening weekend and then get burned -- they don't destroy it. It lasts. So what about Raging Bull ? Do you know how much that made opening weekend? No.

I wanted to be very serious about being a musician - a guy who cares a lot about the music and the band and why we did it in the first place.

I could definitely relate to [ Almost Famous character] Jeff Bebe. I care about acting. I care about the work. Jeff Bebe cares about the music everything else can go to hell.

Mumford more than any movie marked the turning point ... That was the first time where I really changed my mannerisms my speech mannerisms, the way I talked, the way I carried myself.

The show really is balanced, from the writing to the way it's shot, with intelligence and humanity. It's always sweet at the end of the episode. You really do like Earl.

I wanted to be looked at for the skateboarder that I was. I didn't want to be the 36-year-old skateboarder who's still holding on while owning a company at the same time. I wanted to make my mark and travel and accomplish a few things here and there and then get out.

I thought, 'Everything is open for me. I can basically do what I want. Let's see how well I interpret this Lets see how well I pull this off.'
