We have issued an alert of a measles outbreak in the country.
In order to stop the further transmission of the measles virus, the ministry of health will undertake two phases of an emergency vaccination campaign targeting all children between nine months and five years in the whole country.
The planned polio vaccination campaign is an emergency protective measure aiming at rapidly boosting children's immunity against polio.
Among the measures put up to contain the situation are clearing and spraying of waste water drains, clearing of garbage, installation of pilled water, new toilets are being put up and food hawking in the area has been banned.
Tests on the bodies are being done to ascertain whether the deaths were caused by the disease.
