This was his best outing up to this point.
We couldn't score in five innings and we couldn't protect a 7-1 lead. And that's pretty much it in a nutshell.
That was a great play by Lower. It saved the game.
I probably shouldn't say this, but he reminds me of my oldest son. If you watch him, they both have that similar patience at the plate. I've seen him foul off six or seven or eight pitches and then hit a single. He's just a very disciplined hitter.
No one wants to win or lose a game like that, but I'll take it.
We're feeling pretty good right now.
He's given up one run in the last 42 innings. That's the reason why we're winning. If teams can't score, they can't win.
