Farmers are facing a double whammy - an income squeeze, and they're also facing a cost squeeze with electricity (and) gas going up.

Another advertising campaign is going to do nothing for hard-pressed farmers.

Literally the most trivial thing gets charged to the taxpayer, (and) things that the average person would never think of trying to buy, like a $70 steak.

We're not going to see new investment in Ontario's forest sector as long as Ontario has the highest electricity rates in North America (and) as long as Ontario has the highest wood costs in North America.

That's basically where the McGuinty government has put this industry now.

Trying to change the name of it is a phony exercise.

The NDP position on Northern Ontario representation is clear - the north deserves a strong voice in the Ontario Legislature, ... The Ontario NDP opposes any reduction in the number of seats for Northern Ontario.

Six months ago, the McGuinty government said the deficit was $6 billion, then in the budget they said it was $3 billion, and now four months later, they say it's only $1.6 billion.

It makes sense, because where you do have available hours of daylight you should try to use them, ... That's all this does.
