Ultimately, our commitment on the defensive end pulled it out for us.

We have been trying to make it for four years now. This kind of shows (future Grandview swimmers) they can do it. They can get someone to the state meet.

We did not honor certain critical possessions down the stretch like we should have, and it proved detrimental.

I think it's a good choice and a good program. She's been consistent and certainly wants to get better and better. She's already gone 5-6 this year and we want to get her going 5-8 by the regional.

Those guys have won (a lot of) games and they're extremely well-coached. We look forward to the challenge, and it's going to be a challenging game I'm sure.

I think we were just so overwhelmed with being here. It kind of took over our nerves. We're the first swimmers to make it to the state in our school's history. That's quite an accomplishment. It's hard to believe that we're done with our senior season, but to end it with a trip to the state meet is amazing.

Swimming the anchor it comes down to being touched out or not. You have to step it up. It's very stressful. If you get touched out you feel like you let the entire team down. I knew this was our last chance, I wasn't going to let up.
