There is no environmental threat.

The occupant of the vehicle was able to escape. There was minimal damage to the train and no injuries to the crew.

The crew was whistling before impact and put the train into an emergency brake application. Unfortunately the train was unable to stop (in time).

With the heavy saturation, we have erosion and sloughing of the cliffs. The debris has no place to go but down.

We are adjusting our operations to minimize the blockage at Birch Point. We'll try to minimize it to no more than 10 to 15 minutes.

This week the BNSF will be meeting with representatives to further discuss the Port of Quincy issue.

If we anticipate it taking longer than 10 to 15 minutes we'll advance the trains to the east. Then we have to transport the crew by van [to the easterly location].

It has been determined that it was not speed-related. (The train) was traveling 46 mph in a 60 mph zone.
