I rule out categorically any 'traffic-light' coalition with red and green.

We, the Free Democrat Party, want a true change of government.

It seems in all probability that we're heading for a grand coalition.

We hope that as the evening wears on, we will have enough to govern with the Christian Democratic Union ... if not we will remain in the opposition.

A grand coalition would be disastrous for Germany.

It means that Mr. Schroeder must finally understand that his time is up.

We campaign for the 600,000 young people who are unemployed. We campaign for the 150,000 Germans who have left our country in the past year because they could not find work here. We campaign for the six million people without jobs.

If the economy continues to crash, it is not the rich who suffer first, it's the poorest.

We want to bolster the rights of the works councils by allowing job alliances at company level. The people we want to weaken are the labor-union officials.
