Certainly there was no mention whatsoever of Northwest. That said, it wouldn't surprise any of us if they made a move in that direction. They looked at that two years ago. If you look at route structure of the two carriers, they're some complementary aspects to combing the two.

I cannot give you a definitive answer on where we're standing, because our board has not taken a step.

That's a 'no-later-than' date. It could be sooner than that.

We are reserving judgment. We have some homework to do. We are absolutely committed to help assure the future and viability of American Airlines.

What we have on the table is a proposal and the union board will debate, discuss and vote on it within the next few weeks.

If you look at any six-year period, it's difficult to find one where you're in a down cycle the whole time. We have concerns [about chances for the contract to be rejected] based on feedback we're getting. Those concerns have been expressed to management.
