We did not want to make it about choosing one congregation over another.

The thought is that together we can make a bigger impact on an organization than we can apart.

We have different views on things, and the hope is that the folks that give $500 today as part of J-LEAD will be folks that will be giving substantial gifts that fund the renovation of the Jewish Community Center in the future. By getting them engaged at this age, they will become more interested and excited about doing that in the future.

We hope that the donations to J-LEAD are additional dollars to the Jewish philanthropic world, as opposed to taking dollars from charities that the members already give to.
