We accommodated (ground water) users at considerable expense to our customers. We believe the company made a significant contribution to the economic viability of agriculture in the state of Idaho.

They were asking for a court to say Idaho Power hadn't defended its water rights at Swan Falls.

We find ourselves at a focal point. We can direct attention to a quick fix and divert attention from the real issue. The real problem is years of mismanagement and over-appropriation.

We have relied upon certain flows over the last 20 years. If House Bill 800 passes, we have to assume the minimum.

It looks like we'll have something close to a normal water year. Close to historic average flows.

That's water we're not going to generate electricity with.

That water belongs to our rate-payers. Our bottom line is any use of our water has to include compensation.

Idaho Power's customers are taxpayers, too.

We were all part of economic development back then.
