George Rogers Clark
FameRank: 4

"George Rogers Clark" was a soldier from Virginia and the highest ranking American military officer on the northwestern frontier during the American Revolutionary War. He served as leader of the Kentucky (then part of Virginia) militia (United States)/militia throughout much of the war. Clark is best known for his celebrated captures of Kaskaskia, Illinois/Kaskaskia (1778) and Vincennes, Indiana/Vincennes (1779) during the Illinois Campaign, which greatly weakened Kingdom of Great Britain/British influence in the Northwest Territory. Because the British ceded the entire Northwest Territory to the United States in the Treaty of Paris (1783)/1783 Treaty of Paris, Clark has often been hailed as the "Conqueror of the Old Northwest."

That was a good win for us, ... We finally put together a full game. The players should be proud because they did it as a team.

I am George Rogers Clark. You have just become a prisoner of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The sword is very handsome. I am too old and infirm, as you see, to ever use a sword again, but I am glad that my old mother state has not entirely forgotten me.

Our defense stepped up tonight, ... We are fighting some (illnesses), but we really pulled together in the back and covered each other. This was one of our tougher games. It was a close match and I was really pleased that we came away with the win.

Our passing game has really improved this season, ... Tonight, we were passing around the other team, which created a lot of opportunities.

Damn the sword! When Virginia wanted a sword, I gave her one. Now she sends me a toy! I require bread!
