I have one 96-year-old patient who hasn't seen a doctor in two years because of this. I don't think he'll make it until the Supreme Court hears this. I've had other patients who have passed away for the same reason. I feel terrible, but there's nothing I can do.

They believe anything that can be done should be done whether a patient wants it or not. That's what I was trying to fight.

It was a very embarrassing thing for them. They really had no choice and I recognized that I was an embarrassment.

The board says I didn't treat her early enough and I didn't transfer her early enough. I did recognize it and I did treat her, and when I did transfer her, that's when she died.
