As each city grows and develops, it's important to coordinate signals so that traffic can move as efficiently as possible. It's going to happen in incremental steps. This is just the next step, but it's a very important step because there is a lot of traffic that goes through and around Provo, which is a major business center.

There may be times they have to close a lane for a short period of time and for a short distance.

With the new information, the city will also be better equipped to troubleshoot problems quickly. Ultimately the project will make traveling through Provo more efficient.

What they're going to do is get the southbound ramp done first, then move to the northbound and do the other half of the ramp over the railroad bridge. They're going to be working on half the bridge while they're doing southbound and then the other half doing northbound.
