I'm thrilled. We have a standing date. We get together 10 minutes to 7 [a.m.] every morning. He's never missed a date. He loves this game -- he's a special guy.

I said in Spring Training that was the perfect spot for him.

He wants it so bad, he's going to make a statement. But when he does make a mistake and he does certain things, you have to take a step back and remember this kid was at Double-A. He's going to make mistakes.

He's the hardest working guy I've ever been around. He does it religiously every day. He has a routine that he goes through and does it every day, home and on the road. It's amazing.

Todd can hit -- he's a professional hitter.
