It will be a less vigorous bush. The damage will set the plants back two or three weeks. We won't know the percentage of loss for awhile.

The main part of this plant is cooked. But new vines, which we call suckers, will come out and replace these dead ones. These sucker vines will carry less tomatoes and they won't be pretty. This will be a sucker crop this spring.

I don't think I've worked harder than I have in the last two years, with the hurricanes and now this. But this is part of the business. We always fight the weather.
