These residents are frightened. They woke up one day and found out that they are living in a toxic waste dump. They have learned that they had been drinking water that can cause cancer. They are rightfully scared for their well-being and for the well-being of their children.

They just didn't have their A-game tonight, we can't go up there and expect them to play like that. But, to our credit, we went out there and swung the bats. I really liked what we did offensively.

They're doing a good job, considering the circumstances, and we appreciate their effort. We've been told to just hang with them. They're doing the best they can.

I haven't seen our guys out here. Maybe they're terrific. We had a replacement that showed up for a guy that was sick last year, and he was the best one we had all year.

I think all those guys that didn't get a chance to move ... they all had solid seasons here, they could have easily went up. It wasn't so much that they failed here, was the reason they repeated, it was because, basically, the people above them didn't move up. Which is maybe a good sign for our system as far as we're getting some guys that are staying a while and can play.

You hate to lose a game like that when the pitching is that good.

I'm real impressed with the newcomers. The pitching, I'm not just impressed with their velocity but their maturity. And what I like about some of the offensive players that are here is that they have good swings. From what I've seen, we have a good chance to be a pretty good team and win some games.

Hopefully the offense can continue. We need big innings against teams like that. Hopefully we can get hot, because a winning streak would be a good thing to get right now.
