Her debut album, Tidal (album)/Tidal, was released in 1996 and received a Grammy Award for Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance/Best Female Rock Vocal Performance (with an additional six nominations) for the single "Criminal (Fiona Apple song)/Criminal".
