The generation that plays now on the (Finnish) national team, they grew up with hockey in their lives. They start young, and they get better. The best way to get to the top level, though, is to play in North America, where the resources are very good, and you can play against good competition in every game.

We knew we had to play really well defensively, because Germany has a few very talented players. I was glad we stopped being nervous after the first minutes.

It is still a long way to go to catch up to the United States and Canada. I don't know if (it can be done).
