This group is mentally and physically tough. We've got a lot of football players and guys that have been with me.

Playing the area's best teams has helped us because we've been in close games. Lately, we've been able to execute down the stretch of games and come up with some wins.

Our goal is to get to the last four minutes of a game with a chance to win. I don't think we're great, but we've been competitive. We just want to have a shot and see what happens.

We would either grow up, mature as a team and hang in there or maybe we would say that we weren't good enough to compete. Outside of a couple of games, we've played pretty well. Your season isn't judged on what you do in December usually, but how you do when the playoffs come.

The core of this team is the seniors. They're the ones that are pulling the weight. These are true Hartford Public kids and they've paid their dues for four years.

We've spent a lot of time talking about situations and keeping our composure. We've lost our composure and poise in a few games. Windsor's the heavyweight champ in our area, but we happened to make plays down the stretch.

In the second half, we attacked and got great contributions. At halftime, I told our guys we have to get them to go faster. You're taking a chance, but you can't sit back and let them play their offense.

This is a senior-laden group of guys that work hard. It was a good win. I'm proud of the guys.

With four minutes left, I really thought we were going to win despite guys fouling out. The score was in the right spot for us.
