The widespread financial difficulties being experienced by our citizens are a good indicator that the fair would not and should not be a top priority as individuals rebuild their lives.

We want students to know what they are getting into, ... The recruiters mention travel, but they don't mention the Middle East.

In addition, our volunteers are, and will for quite some time, be working to get their lives and businesses and those of family and friends back in order.

This year we've already given money away, over $100,000, ... Next year, it's going to affect us tremendously, tremendously if the fair is canceled.

We would like nothing better than to do it, because it enables us to give back so much money all year long to the community, ... But can we do it? Is the economy going to be such that people will want to come out? You've got Christmas coming up, the holidays. There is a lot of things that we have to think about.

It's not going to put us out of business, but we're going to have to tighten up.

In my mind, the way I look at it, I would hate to see us put on half of a fair, ... You take out a livestock portion, it takes a big part of your fair away. I can't tell you what's going to happen, but I would hate to see us do a fair without full effect.

When we put something on, we want it to be the biggest and the best.

When it's wet out people have to slow down, ... It appears (the Jeep) couldn't stop in time for whatever reason.
