They were up in arms to make sure he won. If things aren't going well, he'd get on them and he's hard on them. But he makes them understand it's never personal. And when he sees them in the street, he loves them.

He is able to motivate a team as well as anyone I've seen. Any coach you hire should be competitive and intense, but his intensity is at a higher level. He just hates to lose, and he knows how to get the most out of his kids.

Some of the bad things that had been said -- people can say what they want to say. I don't agree with what was said. He had nothing to do with any of the geological problems up there. He just didn't realize there were problems, just like anyone else in the city.
