"Diane Farrell" is an United States/American politician who was the unsuccessful Democratic Party (United States)/Democratic candidate for Connecticut's 4th congressional district in 2004 and 2006.

She was appointed by Pres. George W. Bush to become a member of the Board of Directors of the Export Import Bank of the U.S. and confirmed by the United States Senate on August 1, 2007 for a term ending on January 20, 2011.

Farrell is a former elementary school teacher who later worked in the advertising industry and first became engaged in school politics when her children entered the public schools in Westport, Connecticut. Prior to running for elective office, she attended the Women's Campaign School at Yale University.

People are throwing up their hands between the civil unrest, the number of deaths and the cost to taxpayers. People feel worn out by the war, and they don't see an end.

We know that (Bush) is not very popular in our state. But I think Chris has been loyal to the presidency and this is the president's reward to Chris.

Not only will these tax cuts - mainly for the super wealthy and big corporations - wipe out the savings from the budget cuts, it will actually balloon our deficit even further.

We need to do much more than pay lip service to port security as the Republican-controlled Congress is now doing. We must put in place both the funding and the personnel resources to ensure that all cargo containers entering U.S. ports, especially high-risk ports, are screened for radiation and other dangerous substances.

We have one party running everything in Washington. There are some abuses of power that Chris and his pals need to be held accountable for.
