We celebrate our history and the new generation of young emerging jazz artists who dedicate their heart and soul to become part of America's greatest indigenous art form. During the month of April, we want to send a message to everyone that jazz is alive and thriving in every corner of the city.
Jazz at Lincoln Center is so grateful to the many friends from around the world who so generously contributed to this cause to help rebuild the Crescent City.
It is people trying to use a genuine medium in disingenuous ways. We're seeing folks try to exploit the explosive growth of the medium to get at their particular ends.
The focus of the Fund will be to help those individuals and families evacuated from the greater New Orleans area as they address immediate concerns related to housing, food, education, health care and basic survival necessities. The Fund will also provide resources to assist individuals over time to rebuild their homes and livelihoods.
