"Dennis Dawson" is a Canada/Canadian Canadian Senate/Senator.

Born in Quebec City, Quebec, Dawson is a former Liberal Party of Canada/Liberal Member of Parliament in the Canadian House of Commons, representing the riding of Louis-Hébert (electoral district)/Louis-Hébert, Quebec from 1977 to 1984. Dawson is listed as an administrator. He is a former Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Labour (Canada)/Minister of Labour and former Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Employment and Immigration.

In 2004, he ran in the Canadian federal election, 2004/federal election as a "star" candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada in the riding of Beauport (electoral district)/Beauport but was beaten by Bloc Québécois candidate Christian Simard, losing by a ratio of nearly 2:1.

On August 2, 2005, Dawson was appointed to the Canadian Senate on the recommendation of Prime Minister of Canada/Prime Minister Paul Martin. He sits in the upper house as a Liberal.
