We've never had this much depth before in our distance troop. They really carry a lot of points for us.

The girls certainly delivered. They did exactly what we asked them to -- to worry about place and not worry about time.

What I told the girls tonight was when you get to that point in your mind where you're thinking 'I just can't go any faster, I just can't go any further,' you need to reach deep down in and pull something out. I think a lot of those girls came through with that.

The girls really deserved this. When someone tells me 'congratulations,' I think only a small part goes to me and a lot of it goes to the girls. They really worked for it and earned it.

It was nice to go up to a group of girls and say, 'I need this out of you,' and they delivered. They worked for it today.

It's a top-notch facility; it's a little different than what we typically are running on. It's the atmosphere too, of knowing 'wow, this is where states will be.' In a way it mentally prepares them for what is yet to come. It motivates them to come back.
